Pomellato Creative Horizons

A new generation's propensity for artistic expression spurs the reimagining of one of the world's most iconic jewelry collections

Pomellato Creative Horizons debuts with Polimoda for The Art of Nudo project, celebrating the Nudo collection. A chance for Undergraduate in Fashion Art Direction and Undergraduate in Fashion Styling students to tell the stories of five different jewelry tales through photography, styling and concept realization.

Students created five distinct photographic narratives that reimagine the brand’s iconic Nudo collection through different artistic lenses; Beyond Boundaries examines jewelry as an exploration of the body’s landscape, while Empower in Color uses vibrant gemstones to celebrate feminine identity. Five Angles of Nudo delves into the intimate connection between jewelry and the wearer, as Hue investigates how each gemstone transmutes different emotional states. Completing the artistic vision, Limpido contemplates nature through its similarity to elements like ice and water, demonstrating how jewelry transcends adornment to become artistic expression.

Beyond Boundaries
Our group’s concept was inspired by the gemstones of the 'Nudo' collection, translating their shapes and colors into imagery. We created a prop that echoed their rounded shapes and smooth angles, guiding the model’s pose and enhancing the uniqueness of the product, while a delicate color palette highlighted the freshness and spontaneity of the Pomellato woman.

Pomellato CEO Sabina Belli emphasized that the partnership embodies Pomellato’s dedication to artistic boldness, comparing the students’ fresh perspectives to the genesis of Nudo itself; “just as Nudo broke traditional jewelry conventions over 20 years ago, these young artists bring their own creative spirit to interpreting our icon.”

This experience with Pomellato allows students to work with high-quality jewelry to create professional-level images while facing the challenge of integrating their creative vision with that of the brand, culminating in their works being exhibited at Pomellato’s Florence boutique and shared across digital platforms.
