Danilo Giordano

Leading Teacher, Department of Design

After graduating from Polimoda in Fashion Design in the late 90’s, for the past 20 years Danilo has worked as a Designer for several luxury clothing and footwear companies in the U.S. and Europe.

From 2017 to 2019 Danilo was the Co-Founder and Creative Director (and PD) of a new footwear brand called Dahlia Selva. With this vast experience, he has gained building a brand from A to Z that was distributed in top doors around the world and met the most influential leaders in the press and social media field.

Previously, Danilo had worked for 10 years as the Head of Design at Ralph Lauren in New York for both Collection and Polo women’s footwear. While at Ralph Lauren, he led the design team and worked closely with the footwear manufacturers and leather factories in Italy, Spain, China and Morocco deeply involved also in the product development process, sourcing, fittings and production.

Danilo also worked as a Footwear Designer for Bally and Tod’s, and as a RTW Designer for Valentino and Marni. He currently works as a freelance Footwear and Accessories Designer consultant and teaches Shoe Design at Polimoda.
